The Curse is over, UCF wins

Spread the word

In what had been over 600 plus days of not winning a single game, the UCF Knights had one thing on their mind in the 2016 regular season opener against South Carolina State: come out on top. Not only did the Knights win, but the speedy offense and the dominant defense pitched a shutout, finishing on top 38-0 over the Bulldogs.

It was quite a start to the Frost Era, as new head coach Scott Frost, former offensive coordinator of the Oregon Ducks, ran just over 90 plays in 30 minutes of offense. Quarterback Justin Holman  threw for two touchdowns and ran in another, Matthew Wright kicked a career-best four field goals and UCF ended a nearly two-year drought of winning. Next week, the Knights travel to Michigan and return home to face Maryland in week three.

As for now, this is not a typo: the UCF Knights have WON a game.
