The Key West High School football team faced off against Champagnat Catholic School in a preseason game last night. The Conchs started off strong and headed into the half with a 24-8 lead. Champagnat would storm back and score three touchdowns in the final five minutes of game. Key West would hold its own and pick up the preseason win, 32-26. The Conchs open the regular season next Friday night against Lake Weir. Lake Weir is the first Marion County team to travel to Key West for a game since 1982 according to Richard Burton and sources.
