The Key West High School Fighting Conchs suffered a 56-36 loss to Archbishop McCarthy last night at Tommy Roberts Memorial Stadium. Despite the loss, senior Mekhi Sargent rushed for 211 yard and 2 touchdowns. Due to sloppy offense and weak defense by the Conchs, the Mavericks (8-0) rained on the parade of Homecoming for Key West. The Conchs (3-4) travel north next week to face off against Inlet Grove (2-6) in for their final regular season game before the Gold Coast Conference playoffs.
